Who are you remembering this Memorial Day?

The day brings recollections of going with my sister and grandparents to decorate the graves of family members with my grandmother’s garden flowers.

The back of their station wagon was filled with bouquets for about ten gravesites. When the task was complete we went for a chicken dinner picnic in a nearby park.

My sister’s family (Barbara, on the left) sent me this photo last week. I’m remembering her and her untimely death in 2006.
